Lightbridge wasn't created by a software startup guessing at clinical workflows. It was built by healthcare IT veterans who've run the imaging environments, written the disaster-recovery plans, and stood in the war room when the systems went down. We built the product we always wished we'd had.
The founder
Two decades in healthcare IT — most of it in imaging and security.
Matt Beglinger has spent more than 20 years leading the clinical and imaging technology that hospitals depend on every day. Today he directs a radiology and imaging application portfolio spanning 100+ systems, roughly 1.5 million imaging studies a year, and multiple petabytes of patient data.
His career has lived at the intersection of imaging, security, and crisis. He's administered PACS and migrated millions of studies; built Epic security and role-based access for tens of thousands of clinicians; served as a virtual CISO and guided organizations through HITRUST; and led IT downtime communications and crisis response through real events — from natural disasters to the 2024 CrowdStrike outage.
Through all of it, one gap never closed: when imaging goes down, there's nowhere fast to put it. He'd already cut an enterprise security build from three weeks to under 30 minutes through automation — so he knew the same thinking could bring an entire imaging archive back online in minutes. No one had built it. So he did.
